Sony computer. XP. opens icons and files with single click. horrible! how do i set to double click? ?

I've tried going into mouse properties, etc. I have no idea how to change it. This is my main computer at my new job, and it was set like this when i "inherited" it. The previous operator said it was like that out of the box, and he just got used to it. I hate it, and do not want to get used to it! Please Help!

open up My Computer

go to Tools > Folder options

on the first tab, there's an option to use Single Click or Double Click

You actually find this setting in 'Folder Options'.

Under the 'General' Tab, you should see the two options, click once or double click to open files.

Select your desired option & hit OK.

Job done!
