Sony cybershot records instead of taking pictures?

i have a sony cybershot camera and no matter what setting i put it on it always records a video instead of taking a picture. the only settings that take pictures are twilight and twilight portrait but the pictures don't come out that great on those settings. anyone know what could be wrong with my camera?

There is usually a  switch that switches from photo to video. That must be set to video. Not sure where it is on your model. Check manual.

I have a sony cyberyshot too and my camera doesn't do that.

If you have a warranty then send it to the company and they'll have it fix for you.
