i just bought a new sony cybershot (dsc-t70 model) about 2 months ago. i noticed today that the screen got damaged. it is a pretty soft screen due to the fact that it is a touch screen camera. i think this happened when i placed it inside my purse. i know i should get a case, but they are just so expensive. remember, i am only a 16 yr old student with no job! this was a gift from a very special person, it costs almost $500 (cad). we bought a 3 yrs warranty! i have the receipt with me. the LCD is fine.. my only problem is the screen, it is SOFT so it does break easily. will the manufacturer fix the screen? pls answer!

  1. yes it should cover it under warranty, be sure to read the warranty.

    you should get screen protector [they come in like 10 sheets, for $10 or something]

    and a case..... (;

  2. FYI. I also got this camera as a gift. The FIRST thing I did was buy a case. They have cases at wal mart. I got one for 5 bucks. Trust me it is worth buying a case for 5 bucks than no case at all. My screen and camera are great. no issues at all. :0) hope this helps.

  3. You should be able to send it into the company and they will refurbish it for you. I would read your warranty and call the help line.

  4. I would think they would either fix or replace the camera.  Read the warranty.  3 yr. warranties are expensive.
