Sony dcr sr220 remote microphone?

Question

Does anyone know if it is possible to hook up a remote microphone to the sony dcr sr220?

It doesn't seem to have any inputs.

Sony dcr sr220 has an active interface shoe (AIS)...a remote mic may be possible.

yup. they have microphones in the "recommended accessories" catalog and theres a sliding door on the top of the camcorder that opens the AIS (active interface shoe). thats where you insert the mic.
