i have lost my usb cable (needed for charging and transfering books to it) for my sony digital reader. does anyone know where i can buy one? Ebay doesn't have any and the sony website does not sell them seperately or in an accessories pack. they only have it when you buy the sony reader itself. any suggestions?

  1. If it is not sold as a separate accessory, then it is almost certainly a standard USB cable, likely and "A-to-mini-B" type cable, ubiquitously used by digital cameras, MP3 players, cell phones, and other small consumer electronic devices.

It you have one of these types of devices, and the connector fits into your reader, then it will almost certainly work for charging and transferring data.

If you don't feel comfortable interchanging USB cables like this or if you truly cannot connect it to another USB cable that you already own, then you might also consider taking your reader to your local Radio Shack and asking them if they can help you with a replacement cable.

    Best wishes!
