I bought this cable intending to connect my sony blu ray player to a sony full hd lcd tv.any problems?

First off you mean you have a sony LCD HD 1080p tv. To hook up a blu ray you need a HDMI cable and an extra HDMI port on the back of your tv.I suggest using the manuel for both the tv and blu ray player.People think the manuels are hard to read but there not and they give you illustrated pictures for hooking up your components.
