Sony excd-206 will not work and when i pulled it out there is a blue wire that is attached to notheing?

on ever aftermarket stereo, that wire (blue with a white stripe) is the remote wire.

this remote wire is used for amplifier applications. so when the stereo is turned on, there will be a current on that remote wire. the current goes to the amps remote connector and turns the amplifier on.

when the stereo is off, the remote wire has no current and there for.. the amplifier will be off too.
