Sony handy cam Hi8 camcorder problem. please help...:(?

I have a Sony handy cam Hi8 camcorder it was playing back videos and it suddenly stopped, it just played the sound, then it dosen't play back anything. i tried all of my tapes. it was working fine 10 min. ago what the heck is wrong with it?

stopped, as in motors don't run, or in tape runs but no picture? if the tape is not running, then an error message of some sort should show on the display. it might be a dew sensor, they can be very sensitive.  if the tape runs but no picture then it is a head clog. consumer Hi8 uses HiFi for the audio, so it goes away with a head clog.
