Sony handycam picture package software mini DV patch ?

i have downloaded the software for my sony handycam dcr-hc36e but i did'nt find any streaming for tape. but it only shows for dvd streaming. Anu patch to modify this software to mii DV Software ? please help

The Sony DCR-HC36 is a miniDV tpabe based computer - you already know this. ALL miniDV tape based camcorders use firewire for video transfer. A firewire cable connects the DV port of the camcorder to the firewire400 port of the computer. Firewire, i.LINK, DV and IEEE1394a are all the same thing. If your computer does not have a firewire port, hopefully it has an available expansion slot so you can add a firewire 400 port.

Once the firewire port on your computer is operational, connect the camcorder with the firewire cable, put the camcorder in Play or VCR mode and Capture (Microsoft MovieMaker) or Import (Macintosh iMovie) the video.
