i had the volume up to the max (70) and i had 9 speakers connected four 120w towers and the original five 85w speakers and 100w sub the amp went in to protect after half an hour i turned it off and it's not turning back on the amp was real hot so i unpluged it all and opened it up and nothing looked damaged i have waited 3 hours pulged it back in after it has cooled down and it makes the clicking on and off sound that shows the power is going on and off but thats all it does screen isnt turning on and no sound

  1. Makes the relay clicks eh? Obviously you fried something. The clicking noise you are hearing is the relay switching on and back off..hmm......i doubt the fuses would be bad but it is worth changing them...it might be a relay or the power supply.

  2. 12 years experience in home/pro/car audio. one word to sum it all up..

    FINSHED!!!.

..your impedance was WAY WAY below what any home amp or receiver can take (providing you had the extra speakers hooked up under the front channels)(not bad seeing as this package originally was designed to have no more the 5 speakers plus one sub), and you where also driving the receiver in to clipping mode which helped in the cause of it to heat up like a toaster. Sorry man she's done. TRUST ME it cheaper for you to buy a new one then have this one fixed

  3. My experiences with Sony products are about the same. Sounds like it's toast. Try a better brand.

  4. sounds to me like you baked it .check for fuses .
