i have a sony car radio mxc600 about 8 yrs old. it's a brilliant unit still( fold down front cd multichanger etc) but it has no way of connecting an i pod that i can see. i use a fm modulator but it's not brilliant. short of replacing the unit i would like to connect the radio and ipod by wire.

  1. does you unit have a audio input via rca.

if so you can buy a rca to jack lead and plug the jack into your headphone socket on your ipod and the rca into the input and you can listen to it.

    or

do you have you speakers wired to an amp?

if so using the same method (rca to jack)

run it directly to the rca input on your amp that way you amp will just think your ipod is the headunit creating the sound.
