Sony or Sharp for for HD Televisions?

I was at Sam's Club yesterday and they had a great T.V. selection. I saw a 52" Sony Bravia HD T.V. there for $2500 which I thought was very reasonable. I also saw the same size, but a Sharp T.V. for $1800. I know Sony's are excellent quality, but even in a case like this, should I stick with Sony?

The Sharp Aqous series is well respected and would be a good alternative  to the more expensive Sony. But only the Aqous versions.

For the price difference - you could add a PS3 to be a BluRay player.

If you can afford it, go with Sony. You won't regret it.
