  1. Sony speakers are not as good as the following brands (Cerwin Vega / Boss / Infinity & More around this range)

But from the wattage you are talking about these must be small speakers mainly used for 6 x 9's or 4"s...Or a really sad Sub :)

Are you going to have an AMP pushing these speakers?

Best wattage? Depends on your budget.

Should you invest in them? Anything is better then stock unless it has something nice in it like the above brand names I stated.

A Few questions to ask your self, do you think they will sound better then my current speakers?

    Do they fit my budget?

Will my Stereo/Receiver handle the wattage since I am concerned on the Wattage/RMS Value?

Do they come with speaker wire & how much? Enough to run from back to front?

Majority of the time I see sales for speakers & amps around christmas time, you should probably wait.. They are always on sale then :)

  2. They're 'middle of the road' type stuff. Not especially bad, but nothing to write home about. It will probably be sufficient for your application.

  3. Sony does not make quality car audio products.  Go with a good brand, alpine, kicker, rockford fosgate, pioneer, infinity, MA.

I just put in Alpine type s components (80rms-240peak) in the front  and alpine type r 6x9's (100rms-300peak)in the rear, they are running off a 60 x4 amp.  It delivers wicked sound.  My bass is really good and rattles my mirrors and trunk.  They bang hard but struggle a little with longer bass notes and rumbles.

This setup didn't cost too much off sonicelectronix.com.

There are a lot of factors, budget being a major one and whether or not you want subs.

Remember when looking at speakers to only look at speakers look at rms values, peak is a useless and deceiving number.  Buy quality or you will end up paying more to replace and upgrade.

    Good Luck

  4. go down to your local car audio shop and listen to different bands and compare sony to other brands. dont go to small in speakers or your car will feel small inside and not sound as good.dont be worried about power if not going to compete. just a simple set of speakers will make you driving exprience that much better

buy speakers that suit the music you listen to.

  5. sony is pretty good for a premium sound they usually dont blow  but most people don like em cause they are sooo commercial and there are better name brands ,the sony amp is not that reliable tends to clip and not push what it says it can , the subs are o.k.,,small speaks???like for the interior or the sub   dont go small go big this way you'll know not to keep trying the same brand and possibly wasting money,,,and if it says 275 watts is that peak power? U should concentrate on what is the RMS LEVEL of EVERTHING -SUBS AMPS- SPEAKERS FOR INTERIOR's,,,

  6. i have them, and i love them they sound way better then my speakers in the house, and they seem to be holding up very well through the cold winter months and the hot summers, had them for 5 years now, and no signs of any wear and tear

  7. I honestly wouldnt get sony speakers, id invest a little mor emoney and get some alpines or pioneers.
