That is if you want to take the word of French site, JeuxVideo, who claim to reveal the game on their show in May.
The news is odd, not because JeuxVideo claim to be revealing the game but rather because the Electronic Entertainment Expo (or E3 as we gamers like to call it) is only a few months away and for Sony to be making reveals so close to that mega-event has us
raising our eyebrows.
For those who do not know, E3 is THE event when it comes to the video games industry. The publishers, developers and platform holders come out in force and show the world what they can expect, in terms of new games, hardware and even accessories, over the
course of the next 12 months.
Many expected the PlayStation 4 and Xbox 720 to be revealed at this year’s event in Los Angeles, yet both Sony and Microsoft have denied any and all rumours and speculation stating that they will not be revealing any new hardware this year.
Coming back to the monsieurs at JeuxVideo and rumour has it that they are set to reveal a LittleBigPlanet MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online game). The game could apparently follow the Play.Create.Share ethos of the series and sounds like a fun idea.
However, for those who are still sceptical, Sony has been making announcements despite the fact that E3 is not that far off. In fact, a reveal is expected no later than this Thursday on what many deem could be a new God of War game.
The image that was leaked had all the trademarks and making of God of War 4, without the actual ‘God of War 4’ written on it, yet the word ‘vengeance’ pretty much gave it away. It would be a major surprise if the game turns out to be something else as everything
points at another God of War game despite what happened at the end of the previous instalment in the series.
So if the report is to be believed one can not only expect a God of War 4 announcement this week but a LittleBigPlanet announcement in May as well.
