My TV will not show any picture whatsoever anymore. While watching the set, the top and bottom converged on the middle of the screen and then every sign of life disappeared. I have done a hard reset, banged on the top and sides, but nothing appears to work, set will not even turn on. There is a blinking trouble indicator on the front of the set that is blinking. I looked up the code and it says that the "vertical deflection has stopped." I think we bought the set in 1997-1998. Is this something that can be repaired cheaply? Is it worth fixing, or should we just buy a new tv? The model number is KV-27S45. I dont know what else to do except take it to be repaired somewhere. Please help!
