Sony vegas !!! special effects.?

Question

I wanted t know if you can put a light saber effect and if you can how to do it I'm working on a vedio involving a light saber fight.

Have a look at Effects Lab Pro (it used to be AlamDV).  At least one early version of AlamDV was issued on a magazine cover cd, so you may be able to find a free download.

it depends, if you have movie studio or platinum, it won't wrk. if u have professional, it will. other than that you'll need something like after effects.

look for the tutorials on youtube.( shameful productions)

you need to learn how to rotoscope and matte.  It's painstaking, tedious work.  It's best to not use the editing software for stuff like that.  You'd need something more like Shake or After Effects.
