Question:

Sony vgn-s1xp won't power up

I have a sony vgn-s1xp (similar to s360), which won't power up at all, no lights. I checked the voltage on the motherboard and is the correct one. I think something has fried on the motherboard. I need help to locate this part and fix it. Replacement of motherboard is out of question (600-900$). Please help
