  1. It's a risky one becauase i have an 80gb model and haven't even used half of it and i have 7 demos and 5 games. No compatibility w/ ps2 sucks. No memory stick slots suck as well.

  2. It's very easy to create a new model for Sony. All they do is switch HDDs now. It's an understandable move, but it's going to confuse a lot of customers. It's so confusing. How many PS3 models are there? Let's see:

    1). 20GB

    2). PAL 60GB

3). NTSC 60GB (those two are a bit different)

    4). old 80GB

    5). 40GB

    6). new 80GB

    7). 160GB.

7 models! Isn't it too much? Confusing, isn't it?

  3. Honestly. I love Sony but this probaly wasn't the smartest move.

Their planning something idk what but maybe somehow on a feaky level this is part of their plan. Never the less im glad I have the 60 GB model from 2 years ago. If I need more room I can get a new hardrive.

Also one more thing. It may have been ok if they took out Uncharted and added the hardware stuff back in. Or at the evry lease take Uncharted and drop the price 50 bucks.

  4. whose Jake? anyways just another bundle with a huge Hard drive.  Should be a good deal for those who dont have a ps3

  5. I love the PS3 ( I have the 80GB), but this is a very strange move to me.  I can see the move to the bigger hard drive, with the new video service and tv service soon to come that only makes sense. Why let some laptop company get money from swapping larger drives.  But an executive stated the bigger HD drive would help "build levels to you heart's content in LittleBigPlanet".  What??!! If that's the case then why isn't LittleBigPlanet packaged with the system then?  The system is due in October in Europe, and the game is due out in Oct. as well. So why aren't these two together. Why package a game that's almost a year old when you have such big titles on the horizon for your holiday lineup. Looking at release dates, there is at least one game coming out every one or two weeks starting next month and up until Dec. that I'm itching to get my hands on.

On top of that, they have a new PSP coming as well, after 3 packages of the current model.

I think Sony is trying to imitate Nintendo with all these model releases. Which is either good or bad, depending on how much you like Nintedo these days.

  6. yep, no bc, no flash card reader, 2 usb ports..another "core".. in my opinion, think its a bad move, why did they just put bc and stuff but yeah, i dont mind..i have 80gb so.. yeah..

  7. Sony has so many variations of the PS3 that it's sickening ! And now we have another incarnation of the core PS3 bundled with a game that is now on the PS3 greatest hits list ! Nice move Sony keep confusing consumers ! You can upgrade your HD easily !

They still don't have BC in these new PS3 models and sadly some people have bought the 40GB thinking it has BC only to find it doesn't !

Come on Sony you've been around long enough to know what your gamers want so appease them and do the right thing and add BC ! It couldn't cost much more than a bundled game costs !
