Soon I am going to start up babysitting I am 13 years old

Question

I am very good with kids I have 3 sisters 1 brother all younger than me and I help look after them all the time I also have 5 boy cousins and 2 girl cousins they are all younger than me and I love looking after them and having fun and playing with them

I LOVE kids and would not stick your kids in front of a t.v unless they wanted to for maybe like 20 mins. I would play with them even if they wanted me to be a purple hairy frog I would say yes and play there imaginary games just to see them smile

would you hire me?

you are very young to be babysitting, i really hope you have taken classes.....honestly, you need a babysitter yourself!  

Hopefully you are very mature for your age.  Be safe and don't hesitate to call your mom if you need help (or call the kid's mom, of course)!

I would ask you if you had taken a CPR or Safe Sitter course, so that you would know what to do about injuries, fires, etc..  I never hired a sitter to play with my children, but so that someone would be there to take care of them if something bad happened.  If you haven't done this yet, call your local hospital or fire department and ask them when classes are held and what they cost.  It will make it much more likely that moms will hire you!

Not for a child under 2 years old. 13 is a bit young (though I shouldn't be talking) but children under 2 are hard to deal with. If I saw how you acted with my daughter while I was still there I might. It's hard to decide if I would over Yahoo! Answers though.

Yes I would!  A babysitter like you would be in high demand where I live.  Parents need someone like you they can count on.  Good luck with your babysitting business!!!  I hope you have fun and make good money in the process!!

I'm not even old enough to have kids (well, mentally) but if I did, I'd be too scared to leave my child with a babysitter. Though, you sound like you'd be a great babysitter! Maybe you should wait till you're a little older.
