I chose World Cultures and Communications, but I wonder if they are worth taking. Are these impressive?? Will they look good for my college application??

  1. I've never heard of those classes before and colleges don't really get a description of your classes so they might look at those and just think of them as fluff classes.

    What are your other options?

I know that some electives that look impressive to colleges are:

*anything relating to the fine arts (such as band, choir, art), *any kind of foreign language class (at least two levels of the same language)

*and either a sport or just regular a PE class

  2. I took a foreign language the whole way through. It worked for me and in college i majored in Hebrew. I am now fluent in four languages. Nothing better than communicating with ppl you wouldnt otherwise communicate with. Your electives sound good to me. though i'd probably do physics as an elective. My school offered that as a class and elective see whatever is challenging and take it. that will definitely do you justice. LOL!!! good luck!!!

  3. Both of those sound like good electives for a sophomore.  Make sure you get in plenty of computer classes and become proficient in a foreign language!  Become very active in school (clubs and organizations) and volunteer for the next three yeas.  Colleges love the last two things!

  4. That will depend on the major you plan on enrolling in college for.
