Soraya De Visch Eijbergen advances into Women’s Singles main round at Irish International 2012
Netherlands’ talented player Soraya De Visch Eijbergen advanced into Women’s Singles main round after defeating her local rival Rachael Darragh in qualifying round at Irish International 2012 on Thursday, December 6, in Ireland.
The higher ranked Soraya De, who was the fifth seeded shuttler in Women’s Singles qualifying round draw in the tournament, played to her maximum potential and remained successful in punishing her Irish challenger in just 22 minutes.
Dutch shuttler was in smashing form as she moved swiftly in all areas of the court and did not face any trouble from her rival in finishing up this qualifying round clash in straight sets with a crushing margin on the board.
Meanwhile, the un-seeded Rachael could not put up strong resistance as she failed to create pressure on her Dutch opponent at any stage in the match and easily crashed out without convincing her home crowd.
Soraya De played with outstanding control in her strokes and managed to control the driving seat from starting rallies of the first set.
The phenomenal variations in Soraya De’s shots assisted her to continue her superiority against her challenger on court.
