  1. At night before you go to bed, stretch your legs and that should make them feel better.....

  2. Before and after every run make sure to stretch

  3. if you massaged it and it didnt work its probably the bone, try drinking some milk, its an oldie but goodie

  4. before you run, you should probably do some warm ups and then stretch a lot and then run. our track team does a one mile warm up and then stretch. since you just started, it may be because your body is still adjusting to the physical activity you're doing. try using ice if it's like a specific part of your leg that hurts. don't worry overtime it won't sore when you keep running.

  5. Don't run.

  6. I just joined track this summer and I get really sore too. I usually take a protien shake, keep hydrated, lots of stretching, and I apply heating pads on my legs at night. Also doing light excersise the following days helps stretch out the muscles and get blood flowing through them to get rid of the acid stuff that builds up in the muscles. Maybe take a day off from running to let your legs heal. Good luck and they will get better.

  7. Just give it time and Ice

  8. When you are going to do any type of exercise, you need to warm up first maybe 1 lap of the track to get your muscles warmed up, then stretch for a good 10-15 minutes. The better you stretch, the better your legs will feel after. And after your workout of running the circuit, you should cool down by stretching for 10-15 minutes. don't forget to do a few laps for a cooldown.

So try to stretch some. If that doesn't help at all, find something you can heat up, such as a bean bag or something to put on your legs. There are creams you can put on your legs that help soothe muscle aches. Take some Tylenol or Advil. Stay off your legs for a bit, rest always helps. Try taking a nice hot bubble bath, heat relaxes your muscles and it also relaxes you. Two birds with one stone.

I take a bath after every crew race, and believe me I'm sore, it always helps.

That's what my coaches tell us to do.

    Hope that helps!

  9. you may need a couple days of break from running.  make sure you are getting enough protein :-)  check out some bookstores or the library for some good books on this.

    hope they feel better.
