Sore Muscles: Hot or Cold?

are u supposed to ice them?

or use a heating pad?

  1. I am no doctor but from past experience with sore muscles i suggest you put cold then hot on it every 5 minutes. If that doesnt help then use rub a535 or use tylenol or muscle pain relievers. Hope this helps if you need to contact me you can email me at ashley.smith1047@yahoo.com


  2. I have found that alternating hot and cold works best. Cold packs to reduce inflammation and heat relaxes tight muscles.

    Usually alternating about 3 times a day works great!

    I have had experience with back injuries and this has worked for me! I have also included a reference source.

    I hope you get relief from the pain soon!  

  3. Hot to relax the muscle. Cold if it is inflamed. I work for a chiropractor and ice is better for sore muscles. Sometimes it is more of a personal preference. Try icing for 20 Mins then let it go for 10 Mins then do that again about three times.
