  1. Man, you guys have clearly not been to the tropics!  Vasoline!!!!  Without a wetsuit there are all kinds of areas people rub that stuff.  I have to use it in the arm pits to avoid a rash without a suit.  I'm sure a little rub down of vasoline would do the trick on those sore nips.  Probably wait for it to heal up before you try this--its more preventative than for treating.

  2. It's probably the wax on your board, rubbing against you.

Try wearing another layer on top of your bikini or shirt etc.

  3. Is your suit TOO tight??  Are you hitting the water a lot??  There could be a number of reasons.  A women retains more water then a man, maybe you are adding to it because the water is absorbing into your pores.  Just a possible answer.

  4. band-aids or duct tape

  5. A suit that is too lose will rub against you and cause a rash. There are shops that specialize in surf-wear for women. You might want to try one if you have difficulty finding a suit that fits properly. A rash guard could also help, available at your local surf shop.

As far as relieving the pain, try not to irritate the area any more by wearing clothing that will rub against you. Ice will also help but it just takes time to heal.
