Sore Throat and Ear Pain!!!?

I have a sore throat that has been radiating up to my right ear. The pain is unbearable. My throat s bright red and I am pretty sure I have strep.I haven't seen the doctor yet. I will soon.For now is there any remedies to help with a really sore throat or an ear ache. Plus gargling salt water, tea, and ibuprofen has not worked for me. Please if you could help that would be great.

you're right, probably strep.  I would chew an aspirin, let it set against my throat and drink warmed orange juice to handle the pain until the doc visit.

if you have strep throat, nothing will work.  the best bet is to take a numbing oral spray until you can obtain a general antibiotic, or penecilin.  I've had it a lot as a kid.
