Sore b*****s 6 months postpartum....

Question

I havent breastfed my son since he was 2 months old (4 months ago) this past week my b***s have been so sore - im wondering if this is my milk supply finally drying up? is it supposed to be painful???

VERY painful when the milk is not being expressed on a regular basis.  You can express a little from each breast in a hot shower - that might work, but all the grandmas where I live use ace bandages and bind the b*****s to help the milk dry up.  I don't know if it helps speed the process or not, but that's the way I did it.  You'll have painful b***s for about a week or so, though, no matter what you do.
