Sore foot forces Hazlewood out of contention for Test series against Sri Lanka – Cricket News Update
The Australian fast bowler, Josh Hazlewood, was put out of contention for the upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka, after he reported soreness in the same foot which suffered a stress fracture in the previous season.

Because of his age and history with this type of injury, he will have a short break from bowling for a few weeks and be back playing
in approximately 4-6 weeks,” revealed Justin Paoloni, Cricket Australia's Chief Medical Officer.

With the injury standing between his Test debut, the 21-year-old fast bowler is likely to miss the Big Bash league as well this season, which starts the coming Friday. Hazlewood had an impressive T20 Champions League earlier his year, where he stood out
as a bowler, playing for Sydney Thunder.

“John Hastings had some back pain at the completion of the Perth Test. He had scans that have ruled out serious injury. He will miss the first T20 Big Bash League game and possibly be unavailable for selection for the first Test versus Sri Lanka in Hobart,”
added Paoloni.
