Sore inside my mouth, would salt and water get rid of it?

I've had them before and they usually go away soon but I have a new one that is really buggin' me and it hurts when I eat. I'm not sure what it is exactly and I can't see it that well.

Would salt-water help get rid of it? Or at least make it stop hurting me?

  1. If you are talking about a canker sore/aphthous ulcer, then, no salt water will probably make it hurt.  Those ulcers pop up for 6-14 days and go away on their own.  The only way to get rid of them faster is to cauterize or chemically burn them.  You have to kill/get rid of the skin that is affected, but just cover it with an oral paste and it will help make it more bearable.
