  1. The guy sounds like a punk. I know how amped you get for a fight/match, but you still have to be respectful of the judges - whether you agree with the decisions or not.

I didn't see the match so I don't know whether the judges cards were fair.  Regardless the guy showed a complete lack of professionalism and lack of respect for the sport officials.

I have to put some blame on his coach as well - a good coach should have more influence over his fighter and should lodge a complaint if the cards were really unfair.  You simply don't argue with the judges.  And dropping his medal is just revolting behavior.  He should be banned from the games for unsportsmanlike conduct.

  2. The Olympics have changed into something they were not intended to be.

Anyone who takes amateur sports that seriously should not try out for the Olympics.

Also, the Olympics have changed into a real nasty competitive organization.

That is why I am all for the removal of Judo from the Olympics and bring back Kodokan Judo as a martial art as it was designed.

  3. That guy is a pu**y. His statement says it all:

"This will be my last match. I wanted to take gold, so I consider this Olympics a failure"

  4. Horrible loser...

That is the sport, you win and you lose and a bronze medal ain't nothing to sneeze at. Acting like a buffoon is stupid and childish, if you have a legit problem with the judges you file a greivance with the IOC immediately, take your medal act honorable and let a 3rd party be a judge.

This is just a sore loser.

  5. i havent seen the match personally, so I cant talk about if he was cheated or not. but its very unsportsman like to throw down the medal from your neck and walk off. you know alot of people try to make it and fail. that man should at least be happy that he got a bronze medal. it might not be waht he expected, but he should be happy that he ranked 3rd in his wheight class. and I do not agree with th comment that judo should be taken out of the olympics. Judo in the olympics is what is making judo  more popular. look at the questions lately about judo in y answers. theres alot of them!

  6. sore loser

  7. You guys should maybe hear the whole story first.  Obviously there is some strange judgements going on.  But, all of you have been in the Olympics and can understand what he is going through, right?  Get a life.

  8. I don't see how he could be a perfectionist. He's obviously a sore loser. Tossing down his medal, arguing with judges/referees, calling the game a failure, punching aluminum objects.

“I don’t care about this medal. I wanted gold,”- poor sportsmanship

The Swedish wrestler had to be restrained by teammates earlier when a row erupted with judges over the decision in a semifinal bout at the Chinese Agricultural University Gym with Andrea Minguzzi of Italy, who went on the take gold. - Now that is just immature

This will be my last match. I wanted to take gold, so I consider this Olympics a failure. - wow.... if he means the last match of his life, then that just brings out all the poor sportsmanship in him.

  9. Pure poor sportsmen ship. There is a time and place. Now how many kids that might have looked up to him are going to get the idea that it is acceptable to do that?

Good thing he quit, because he should be banned.
