Sores in my mouth from braces?

I got my braces on like 2 days ago and have a sore on the right side of my mouth by my eye tooth. Is there a supplement that will make it heal?

Gargle with a glass of water with one teaspoon of salt. It will help clean the sores, but do NOT swallow it. You can do this 2 or 3 times a day.

umm not sure (different things work for different ppl...i normally put wax on and let it heal on its own)  but i do no how to prvent it...if u get this wax (its for braces) and put it on ur brackets it will prevent it

When I had braces that happened to me a few times. Luckily, the mouth tends to heal quickly!! Just put some dental wax over the area of the braces that is causing the irritation. Make sure the braces are dry before applying the wax. Rinsing with mouthwash will probably help too!

I dont know if there is a supplement to heal it, but the ortho. and drug stores have stuff you can rub over it that acts like a band aid.

Rinse your mouth a few times each day with a mouthwash like Scope.  Worked for me.

Yea, I have been curious about the same thing. I also got my braces 2 days ago, and today when I woke up, my gums and tongue is all cut up, and bleeding.  The pain is horrible, especially on my tongue, but all we can do is apply some wax to them and let the wounds heal.  I feel your pain :( and wish the best for you.

Use the wax they give you. It prevents any type of sore.

The above are great to help it heal, but you are probably going to have a lot of sore spots through out wearing braces. You may want to invest in some wax. Usally you can buy it at Wal-Mart or a local drug store in the dental isle. You just put a little bit of the wax on the brace or spot that is rubbing agaist your mouth and it will help keep the metal from ripping up your mouth.
