Sorority...?

i'm 13 and i'm just wondering if someone could explain sororities to me and tell me if anyone can get in.

God i would not want to be in one. it is all about looks and i have always hated looks orientated frineds.

Anywho...

There are many different types of sororities out there (service, social, business, religious, cultural, etc) and several different national councils that house them.

In short a sorority is a group of women who come together to foster sisterhood and meet the goals set forth by their founders.

No not just anyone can get in. Most if not all have a strict selection process as well as a new member intake process. A Greek life is not for everyone.

Though i think you are really really young to be thinking about sororities at this time, if you want more info about specific orgs, visit their websites

A sorority is a girls club at a university. Usually you have to pay to join and get voted in by the other members.
