well this is just one of those good old fashioned slug-fest games (which by the way i hate with a passion). I think the back end of bostons rotation is being exposed for what it is: below average at best. And the bullpen is a complete disaster for them, with the obvious exception being papelbon. You aren't going to get far in the postseason with an average bullpen, but thats what boston has. They can score as many runs as they want, but it doesn't matter if the starters can't go 8 innings and turn it over to anybody not named papelbon.

We had a guy making his major league debut pitching tonight. Learn something.  He gave up 8 runs, which is far better than you would have. Plus, you guys gave up NINETEEN runs, so suck it.

We know Texas is **** pitching. Our offense is pretty much unstoppable minus the 2 shut outs. Everyone counted Texas out but we've done some pretty amazing things, wouldn't you agree? :)

It's still the Rangers. One game doesn't determine if you have good pitching or not. It's how your team pitches over a season.

The Red Sox have an above average pitching staff.

RBKG is right. If you throw a quick comparison, there's no way the Rangers stand anywhere close to the Red Sox. Lemme just show you this real quick:

Beckett <----  Vicente Padilla. Padilla is just having one great year, but Beckett's been good all of his career.

I understand that Texas has 6 starters on the DL, but if their top starter doesn't even match probably the Sox's #3 starter, (Jon Lester), there's no way they stand a chance. Especially with Hideki Okajima and Papelbon comparing against Gurdado and Wilson (if he's healthy), there's like no comparison. You can even throw the whole Texas bullpen up towards those two, and that might not even work
