Sorry guys, another NYC question!?

I know you are prob getting sick of all my questions about New York but I have another one. I want to ask about nightlife in Manhattan, whats the best clubs/bars to go to etc? We want to experience a night out in Manhattan (we are from a small town in the Scottish Borders!!)

there are too many, and best is relative.

wherever you're staying, start at one place and hop from one to the next until you find one you like. many areas have several bars on one block, all with totally different atmospheres...

Haha there are soooo many nightclubs and bars to choose from!!

well it depends on what kind of music or scene you are into. that makes all the difference but you never can wrong hanging out in time square or the village.

Oh god please don't mention s*x & the City ! That's the worse most superficial pathetic representation of New York I've seen on TV yet.

I don't know how old you are but here are realistic places you'll have a GREAT time in !!

Pyramid - 101 Avenue A - great dance parties all weekend

Culture Club - 179 Varick st - Great mix of music on multiple levels

Coyote Ugly - 153 1st ave

Fat Baby - 112 Rivington Street - Great bands a few nights week

Fat Black Pussycat in the Village  3rd St

Bungalow 8  (celeb hotspot)  on 23rd St

The Hideaway on Duane St

Three of CUps Lounge (first Ave, between 5th and 6th Sts i think)

Wicked Willys on Bleecker in the Village (they had crazy beer pong and games there)
