If a person is employed and paid through a employment agency, is the site at which she is actually temped out to, legally binded into offering a full-time position to this person after a certain length of time

  1. No, if you have a temporary contract they only have to keep you for that amount of time. I would expect that you are actually contracted to the temping agency rather than the company worked for.


  2. Not if it is through an agency. If you were employed by a company directly on a temporary contract, it must become permanent after 4 years, hoever, agency staff are exempt from this as worker are not formally employees.  

  3. yea, a new rule brought in was that if you were a temp longer for a year at the same company, they must offer you a permanant contract or get rid of you.
