  1. That is okay.  I don't know of any agencies. Where are you at?  That might be helpful for us to know.

  2. Some agencies and some states have their own rules & regulations on how you can advertise for a child, so although I did not find your prior question, I believe that is what you are referring to.

As for a good adoption agency, we used Adoptions from the Heart.  They were wonderful.  You can contact them at www.adoptionsfromtheheart.org.

  3. Lifeline in Birmingham, AL is excellent (I know several people who work there).

My suggestion is to research agencies who could help you.  Interview them (ask them the questions that are important to you), ask for references & check them out (the best questions, imho, are "what was your experience from start to finish?" "if you adopted again, would you use them again?" "do you have any regrets or misgivings about your process?")

After you check the references THEY give you, go on the 'net and see about finding other folks not on their reference list who have used them & ask them the same types of questions.

After that, go to the Better Business Bureau (you can find them online by Googling them) and check them out for any complaints and how they were or were not resolved.

  4. Advertising and soliciting for a child to adopt is illegal in some states, not all.

Which state do you live in?

  5. In Pennsylvania there is Adoptions from the heart, they have licenses in PA and NJ  as well as offices and specialize in infant adoptions right from the hospital. there is everlasting adoptions and they are world wide, there is adoptions through foster care.. if you Google the keyword Adoption and add your state it will come up with allot of agencies, you might even want to look in your local yellow pages under Adoption.  I hope this helps
