  1. if it felt threatened the horse would proabably just push aside , or rear . but if it knew the person , i dont think it would do anything , becuase they hopefully trust them

  2. depends, my horse just stands there

  3. A "cornered" free horse no, never. we are the "predators". A stallion may because he is the one that defends the herd, however stallions are not the leader so they wouldnt less they have a reason, or have bad experiences and is just pain mean/ruined.

  4. Horses dont trample people. I have seen people run into when they cornered a horse but never trampled.

The vast majority of horses dont want to hurt their owners but if cornered and scared they resort to instinct where they just react. Most will try their best not to hit the person but after a point they will run into pretty much anything when really spooked (trees, people, everything)

  5. Yes!  Not necessarily "trample" but I have been run over by one of my own two year old horses who was just spooked and took off in my direction. I've known of people to be knocked out or severely injured this way. It's frightening, and a powerful blow. When frightened, some horses just run blindly, barreling over or through anything or anyone in their way.  And it doesn't mean they are bad horses, actually they may be very intelligent, they would be the last to be eaten by a predator in the wild.  I'm not the only trainer this has happened to.  It just means more time and work building confidence and trust in the horse.  Sometimes it means it's time to find another trainer for the horse.  And, learn to stay alert and stay out of their way if you see them coming!

  6. if you corner a frightened horse and look aggressive, the horse will do whatever is has to, to get away. Including trampling you, if that is its only option.

  7. I don't even think that the horse has to be scared to run over you.  Try haltering broodmares at weaning time..and these are broke mares that have just run out a year...if they don't want to be caught or have a halter on them, they will run over you if they can't get around you, scared or not.

  8. if it knew the person really well i don't think it would trample the person just pust the person aside

  9. :::Stretches self and looks at hoof marks:::

Speaking of being run over...  I got it last Wednesday trying to capture my 3 month old filly, who's a REAL pistol.

The last two times I've gotten myself run over has been by a baby, the last one was a weanling who got bullied by a 4 yr old arab gelding.

I did get run over by a loose horse at a horseshow in the '80's...Sheehs!

I'm gettin' too old for this S##t!

  10. probabl;y yeah if any horse no matter how tame or trainned it is if its put in a situation where its scared then there gonna do whatever it takes to get themselves out of that situation!it might not be trampling they may kick or bite you!what makes you ask that question anyway?

  11. Depends on the horse. Um. I've never really known a horse to 'trample' anyone.

  12. It just depends on the horse
