Sort or long dress for Homecoming?

It's my first homecoming, and I'm debating whether I should get a sort or long homecoming dress. Is it common to wear a short dress? Please help me decide what style to get.

this is ure time to shine go for a short sassy flowy awesome dress if your not to worried about prices try betseyjohnson.com her dresses are all short and so amazing but the prices are a little high u could also try the sales there to..if ure budget is more tight go for macys or jc penny they have some great stuff to!
