Sorted expected to prevail in Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Chase
Sorted has the best chances of winning the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Chase at Ballinrobe in Ireland on Tuesday, May 29, 2012. A cash prize of €8,625 has been set for the winner of the race.
The going will be good to firm in the 2 mile 6 furlong race, which is scheduled to start at 20:05 GMT. A total of 16 runners will be seen in action and their names are as follows: Sorted, Muzak, Seaside Shuffle, Baizically, Ballygill Gale, Information,
Jewel In The Sun, Stonesinmypocket, The Burrow Vision, Antipode, Ard Agus Fada, Celtic Wish, Blaze Trailer, Noble Commander, Unanswered and Rivazza.
Looking at the current form of Sorted, it appears that no one will be able to match him in the race today. He has got a very good stamina, which will help him dominate proceedings in the race.
The seven-year-old gelding has taken part in 24 races overall, but has only been successful in four of them. However, his record in chase events is a touch better compared to that.
Sorted has won one chase race out of six attempts and has also secured the runner up position on the same number of times. This goes onto show that he has the ability to fight at the front.
Importantly, Sorted has been performing brilliantly over the past couple of events and is carrying a terrific momentum. If he manages to win today, he will complete a hat-trick of victories.
The Conor O'Dwyer’ trainee will be ridden by B. R. Dalton, who is new to the sport. He will gain a lot of confidence, if he manages to win the race at Ballinrobe.
Despite Sorted’s good record, the bookies have given pretty decent odds to Seaside Shuffle as well. He has taken part in four chase events until now, but never managed to win any of them.
It will be difficult for the seven-year-old gelding to fight for victory in the race. However, he might still manage to attract a few bets from the punters.
Sorted seems to be in very good rhythm right now and he will not make things easy for his rivals. The level of competition is easy, which makes the odds more in his favour.
