Soufflenheim France?

I might be possibly going on a day trip to Soufflenheim and would like to know what it is like. I've heard "Alsacian" pottery is quite popular there. What does it look like, is it nice?

Thanks for any input.

  1. i really do know anything about Soufflenheim but have alot of fun.

  2. Souffleheim is the capital of traditional alsacian pottery. the village in itself is charming, very traditional. i went there this Christmas with my nephew. they had pottery workshops for kids, he is 6 and loved it, I joined and had a great time too.

You can buy beautiful stuff very cheap (way cheaper than in Strasbourg). do not miss the platters with the storks andthe Kougelhof molds!

Souffleheim is located around 30 minutes north of Strasbourg by car. you could also take a commuter train in the main Strasbourg station. This is the country side, if you want to eat there, be sure you arrive before 1:30 pm to the restaurant or you might not be able to eat.

But enjoy, it is a unique experience that a lot of foreigners do not have.
