Soul Food Restaurants in Los Angeles?

Question

What are some good spots for a young brotha to gets his grub on in L.A.? I'm looking for the following:

Jamaican Restaurants

Fish Market

Barbecue (affordable like Mom's on Imperial)

Soul Food

Cajon/Creole

Mexican Food (you know we love Mexican Food, too!)

Fried Chicken

And where can I get Turkey Chops (you got to know what that is) and Good Sausages (I already know about Mama's on Slauson)

The best "you buy we fry" fish market ive been too is off the 105 freeway at crenshaw. Its called "king fish market". its a few blocks north of the 105 in the pizza hut parking lot. Ramonas mexican food is my fav, theres 3 locations in South central

Yeap, Roscoes is good for chix & soul! M & M is good (soul food). Try Angelina's if you're in Alhambra CA (chix & soul); Mexican (depends) if you want the real deal tamales try La Moscota Bakery in Boyle Heights (may be on Whittier or 6th, off of Soto); High end Mexican, try La Serenata de Garibaldi (org. in Boyle Heights, another in Santa Monica & at West Side Pavillion) EXCELLENT, little pricey.  Another real deal Mex. rest. is "La Parrilla" on 1st St in Boyle Hgts. (Lots of people from the movie industry and Politicians go there).  Ray's Tepeyac (try the Hollenbeck burrito) another known location for cops, politians and movie industry.

A "hole in the wall fish place" is Catch 21 near Alameda & around 8th St in L.A.  BBQ (can't think of any of the traditional BBQ, but they are out there), however, if you like the Korean BBQ style (cook your own on those table top hibachi) MANNA Korean BBQ is really good, all u can eat, cheap!  It's become a really great group hangout for late night "pig fest!" (3377 Olympic [off of Vermont] L.A.)

yummmm louisianas fried chicken is ssooooo good and they have alot more reasturants out in inglewood by LAX yum yum
