Sound Question?

Okay, this may sound rather odd or maybe even in the wrong YA section because it is not paranormal. The reason I am asking in here is most people here are open minded, scientific or put thought into their answers.

Question? Is it just me or does everyone else hear / feel sound vibrations. Like I hear normal sounds but when I hear things that not one else can hear, it is almost like I feel the sound more than hear the noise itself. I mean normal things like my nephew woke up or cell phone across my fairly large house (but I do have ceramic tile throught most of the house so I know that is a huge factor). But I swear I think I hear the train is probably 7 miles from my house.

  1. I think the vibrations that you feel may be real.

  2. Some people are just more receptive to higher and lower vibrations.

I can hear before phones ring, and when i'm around televisions, microwaves, or computers i hear the extremely high frequency that they emit..

Sometimes it's uncomfortable, or even painful, and i get alot of headaches,  but you kinda get used to it i guess...

Who knows, one of these days, it could be useful. lol

  3. Well a really loud noise seems to make your doors rattle so there must be vibrations. Whether you can feel vibrations seven miles away is debatable. Maybe it is a big truck which is much closer.

  4. its not odd im 6 miles from the train and i can hear it purfact so it normal hunny to be hearing things like that

  5. Sound travels on waves which travel about 750mph through the air. These sounds actually apply pressure. The ear picks up this pressure and translates to something we understand as sound. The sound of a train applies quite a bit of pressure.

Your skin also detects pressure and can pick up intense sound pressure. So there is nothing odd here. Your skin is picking up the pressure from the sound before your ear is. Perhaps the sound is too subtle for your ear, and your skin is very sensitive.

  6. I have lived by many RR traks in my time and you can hear trains from several miles off especially if you live in a rural area.
