We Have Just Bought A New Sound System, And My Girlfriend Is Singing Over Backing Tracks, Pop Songs.

I Need To Know Some Basic Settings To Help Me Use The Sound System. We Know Everything But If You Can Give Any Advice On Some Basic/Optimal Settings For 'Low, Mid, High' And Fx Usage. Or Any Other Advice Is Appreciated.

Its A Top New Sound System, And Great Quality Speakers, And An Awesome Cordless Radio Microphone.

Also The Usage Of 'Low Cut'. Any Help On That Is Also Helpful

Cheers

  1. The best settings for most female vocalist is OFF, 9 out of 10 of them sound like c**p cause they think they got to be loud as c**p and verburate their voices to the point that they are plain annoying, PLEASE teach her to play an instrument and let her listen to some Etta James so she can hear how a GOOD female singer sounds.

  2. There is no exact method of getting good sound from the female voice.  You really need to use your ears when it comes to EQ and effects settings.

I always use the "low cut" on every vocal channel.  There is no need for frequencies that far down on any vocals.

I use effects very sparingly - if you can clearly hear the effects, you are probably using too much.
