Question:

Sound and motherboard drivers for Matsonic...

I am into retro operating systems and wish to use Windows 95 on a computer which has the following specs:
Matsonic MS8308EP(266) motherboard
AMD Duron 1.3GHz CPU
256MB Ram

So far (with a few patches) I am able to boot up Windows 95 and it runs very smoothly, except that I am unable to get the OS to talk to the sound chips on the motherboard. I have no sounds. I did try using sis7018 as suggested by several web sources, but no luck.

Windows 98 (On another HDD) boots up with all the bells and whistles, so something must have been patched in somewhere.

Any help would be hugely appreciated

Kind regards
