right ....

I am cluey with my sound and audio, but I have a brain stumpper that has stopped me dead in my tracks

:- MSN phone call to my GF and I hear her perfectly and do not have an echo, she can hear

me perfectly but yet has an echo plus the sounds from my computer when I plug and

unplugg things like removeable hard drives and USB drives ect (the slight beep beep beep you hear),

I have gone through all my sound

settings and made sure everything is the same as it was this time last week when we had no problem in

calling her ect,

even tried unplugging the plugs from the frount and moving the headset plugs to the rear plugs, found

when unplugging that, that my GF could still hear her self typing and talking with my mic and speaker

of the headset unplugged, thats the brain stumper, she shouldn't hear her self when there's no mic

plugged in on my side.

NEED HELP BADLY, is driving her crazy and making me even more crazy with rage as I should be able to

fix this but yet can't

  1. go to your volume control and make sure your line in is all the way down or muted and also use a mic and headphones. if your using speakers and a separate mic the mic can pick up the speakers also.

  2. Vista or Xp, desktop or laptop.
