okay green is for speakers

Pink is microphone,

What blue?

AND WHY IS MINE ALL SKREWD UP AND HAS A BLACK ONE FOR MICROPHONE?! That caused me a whole days stress :( lol

  1. Well you got the first two right so that only leaves "Line In".


  2. Blue is for 'line in' you can connect other dvices like your ipod to play through your pc and is good for when you want to record music from that device aswell.

    I dont know about the black one, they tend to be at the front of the pc rather than the back sound card.  But its probably just so you can add an extra connection!

  3. You need to check your literature.  If your sound card supports surround sound, then the configuration of the jacks will be different depending on what you plug in.  Green is usually front speakers and pink is microphone.  The other colors could be rear speakers and/or center channel.
