Sound card problem. I have a on board sound card on my Mother board (AsRock X533) It does not

I have a on board sound card on my Mother board (AsRock X533) It does not play the sound in my Mandrake 9.0 When I run Hardrake it says : Vendor : Via TEchnologies Bus : PCI Bus Ident:  1106:3059:1106:4161 Location on Bus : 0:11:5 Description : VT 8233 (AC 97 Audio controller) Model: snd -via 8233 Media Class : Multimedia _audio When I run the config tool  in Hardrake it says "Thre is no know oss/Alss Alternative for your sound card which currently using "snd-via 8233" Does it mean that if I get anothey sound card which fits in to the PCi slot in the Mother board I will be able to get the sound? Also will there be any conflict with the on board card and the new one? Thanks in Advance Sudhakar
