I went to a club the other night, a few days later, the sound in my right ear is muffled, and the amount I can hear varies throughout the day. Its been like this for about 4 days now. Any suggestions?

  1. Could be you were possibly too close to the speaker and it has done a little damage to your ear drum which will heal.

Either that or you have some kind ear infection. Are there any other symptoms? I was recently diagnosed with a sinus infection which happened to just glue up behind my ear drum leaving me with the whole lack of hearing muffled effect. If it doesn't go away soon or if you have any kind of symptoms go and see a doc just in case.

  2. Depending on your age, it could also be the beginning of Menieres Disease.  If so, it's possible that it's been developing for a while and you only recently noticed it.  That's what happened to me.  I woke up one morning lying on my side and couldn't hear my clock radio until I lifted my head.  I was sleeping on my "good" ear.  You need to see a ENT specialist to be sure.
