Sound storm 5000 watts amp

Question

Any one know about sound storm 5000.1... i want to know if i should get that amplifier or something else.. i need a amp that can delivery tremendous power but not 2 expensive..

Soundstorm, Pyle audio, and Blitz audio are all made by the same corp. called sound around out of Brooklyn , NY , they are all probably the same amp and aren't really known for being honest about power ratings,that doesn't mean that they are bad amps just know what you are paying for.

i've had a sound storm amp before... the only thing i can really say is that it got completely submerged and still worked well.

first off I didn't know it was possible to submerge an amp w/o blowing the fuses on the amp and still have a working amp but I've been doing installs for 7 years as well and have never heard of sound storm, but soundstream is a pretty good brand.  if you plan on staying on the cheap and want a good amp crunch would be a good choice.

David is nuts, submerged? Stay away from my car, freak, LOL.

Will, as an installer you actually going to suggest Pyle? That makes me think that you are not an installer, or you have very little experiance.

Now for the question on hand.

If your looking for inexpensive I would suggest Crunch amps. If you want an amp that is going to perform, I would suggest US AMPS, but they will cost you.

i would have to agree with George, he knows the real when it come to sound. I myself would prefer the Blitz 3000D if you want inexpensive but true power. Be sure to note that any real 3000 to 5000 could result in power failure and most often frying. A Yellow top or 2 might help in your plight to dominate sound and ear drum blowing decibals.
