Sound systems?

I have a 79 chevy truck. The only speakers I have now are behind the seat. I want it to be louder so what should i get. I listen to rock/metal. I don't care for the bass just a loud good sound. Any help is appreciated.

i would recommend going with a 10 in sub and a amp to match. Get you a set of tweeters, and upgrade the rest of the speakers such as doors and what ever else. Then run it all to like a 600watt amp

You need 4 Kenwood 400watt 6x9s, or similar Sony brand, since you don't care about bass. I would run a Sony explode 1000 watt amp to them using a Sony CD/MP3 deck to run it all. Nice and very affordable sound. You should be able to find everything here at your local Wal-Mart .

be sure to keep the gain low on the amp because that amp is more powerful that the speakers but the good thing is that with the low gain level you will get less distortion. just dont turn the volume to high on the head unit because that will cause distortion
