Sound trouble?

I have speakers connected to my computer and my system is not recognizing them everything used to be fine untill I moved now I can't listen to anything. Can anyone help me figure out what is wrong, and how can I have my system recognize my speakers?

  1. You need technician my friend, or let some one control your mouse and see what your options is.


  2. Most computer systems do not recognise or interact with speakers themselves, unless it's one of the very few systems where you have an external soundcard connected to a 5.1 box and surround speakers, such as the Soundblaster Live External USB:

    If you have a regular internal soundcard it is likely to be this which may be faulty and not speakers. Only way to test it is to plug a set of headphones into the speaker socket and test that, if it works, then the speakers ARE faulty.

    Which means you may need new speakers, or the cable to them has somehow got damaged or is not making the connection properly.
